Brief Consultation
The Psychological Checkup
Many of us go to the dentist twice a year to prevent problems and catch problems as soon as possible. We also get a brighter smile. A similar approach to mental health could make a significant change in your quality of life.
A Psychological Checkup involves taking several assessments designed to review your life history and quality of life. Once evaluated, we will meet for one or more sessions to discuss the results. Depending on the results you will be reassured that you are OK or you can be given options that are intended to promote your quality of life.
The Psychological Checkup usually can be completed in one or two sessions. Additional sessions can be scheduled at the client’s discretion.
The Marital Check Up
The Marital Checkup is a similar concept to the Psychological Checkup. Periodic checkup and skill building sessions can prevent the marriage from being dissatisfied, or worse, failing.
In addition to the life history and quality of life assessments given in the psychological checkup, one or more assessments designed to measure a relationship’s strengths and weaknesses will be given.
One or more meetings may be scheduled to work on marital fine-tuning or marital counseling sessions can be scheduled.
